David always writes songs to tell a story, and to mean something. He is the originator and creator of our repertoire. David is passionate about the process of writing lyrics. He is one half of a duo partnership with a wonderful multi-instrumentalist and arranger – Cole Toury, who plays both guitar and keys equally well. Cole had a successful solo career before joining up with David.
Together we have released 10 EP’s and 10 full length albums; one every year between 2013 and 2025, One of our goals is to create as many original songs as the Beatles, and that target is close.
Our music can be found on all the main online platforms and stores, released in the name of ‘David will Mitchell and Cole Toury’
Be Inspired By Everything
We find inspiration in all areas of life, through personal beliefs, and through the big issues of life. It is increasingly difficult not to be moved by what we see around us. David’s writing style is similar to Dylan and Cohen. It is ‘issue’ and ‘philosophy’ driven, and album titles like these give it away:
- Connecting the Blue
- Good morning I love you
- The Beaten Track
- We get what we Deserve
- Songs to celebrate Iconic men
- Running past the moon
- All our country roads Vol 1 & 2
- Take the high road – Heaven’s tomorrow
- Chasing the wind
- Conscience
- God bless the USA
- Iconics 1 & 2
